I always wanted to make raw energy balls.
Yes, no bake energy bites!
When you think about what they cost in some raw food stores.....so better make them yourself.
Delicious and very easy to make!
You need a food processor. I always borrow it from my Mum :)
It takes only 15 minutes. GO!
Ingredients
(makes about 21-24 balls)
15g chia seeds
2 tbsp maca powder (I use the one from Naturya)
a pinch of sea salt
70g sunflower seeds
50g pumpkin seeds
50g almonds
50g almonds
70g cashews
60g dried physalis
220g pitted medjool dates
4 tbsp coconut oil
coconut flakes
Directions
1. First, use a food processor to grind up cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.
2. Add sea salt, chia seeds and maca powder.
3. Blend for a few seconds to bring ground nuts and other ingredients together.
4. Add dates and just a bit of water and blend again until you have a ground texture just like this:
5. Melt coconut oil and add it to the mass.
6. Form into balls and voila! :)
7. Roll some of the balls in coconut flakes. Yummie!
